The following individuals and companies were associated with the development of the Raphael Schmuecker Solar-Hydrogen System:
Proton OnSite designed and manufactured the system’s electrolyzer, which uses electricity to make hydrogen from water.
Tom is an architect with a commitment to including renewable energy in his building designs.
Iowa Energy Center
The IEC supported development of the system with a $32,000 interest-free loan.
Hydraulics International pumps are located in the hydrogen storage and dispensing area and in the ammonia generation shed.
Hydrogen Engine Center
HEC provided an internal combustion engine adapted to run on hydrogen gas or ammonia gas. They installed the engine in a 7810 John Deere tractor provided by Jay Schmuecker.
